Samsung introduced us to a 5.3-inch screen and it was received with an equal amount of love and disdain from potential consumers. Many were perplexed as to why one would carry a tablet as a daily phone. The smartphone industry has been heading to larger displays for as long as smartphones have been around, so it is no surprise that Samsung released its latest Note with a huge 5.55-inch screen. The Note II offers much more than a large screen. Here is a hands-on video of the LG Optimus Vu 5″ Android smartphone from CTIA 2012. The phone has a 1024 x 768 IPS display with Gorilla Glass, capacitive pen input, a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon S3 CPU, 32GB storage, and LTE. It runs Android 2.3 but will eventually get upgrade to ICS. This phone is LG’s response to the Samsung Galaxy Note. It’s not yet available in the US through carriers.
